About Us
Located in Gracefield, Petone, Capital Cabinets was started in October 2017 by talented cabinet makers, Paul Boese and Andrew Zwart.
Taking their combined 30+ years’ experience, which includes crafting kitchens and joinery using traditional hand-made methods in small private joinery factory’s, right through to working for a large commercial kitchen manufacturer, (with Paul working as Production Manager, and Andrew as Foreman), both men gained not only valuable technical experience, but also a host of strategic and operational production and business management skills. Being so well versed with the ins and outs of the cabinet making industry, it became clear to this dynamic duo that there was a gap in the market.
"You've probably all heard it said: 'Kitchens sell houses', yet spec houses don't always get things right in this department. Time after time, we see these beautiful new houses with totally non-functional kitchens. No room for a bin, not enough space for cutlery, cupboards hitting into drawers when opened, etc. We decided to take everything we had learned and join forces to create a unique business that provides 100% functional, high-quality, custom joinery fit-outs for spec builds."
